Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our products, licenses, and services.

General Information

GPLPress.net is a premium repository providing thousands of WordPress themes and plugins necessary for the development of websites. All our products are 100% original and distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). We aim to make premium web development accessible to everyone by offering these tools at affordable prices.

All WordPress items such as plugins and themes are licensed under the General Public License (GPL). This means that once we have purchased the item, we are free to redistribute it to others. Your purchase on our site goes towards maintaining our repository and buying new products from 3rd party authors. This form of crowdfunding helps keep prices low and we then pass this benefit on to you.

Unmatched Safety: We verify every single file. Our team strictly ensures that all files are 100% original, untouched, and free from malware or viruses.

Huge Savings: You get the exact same files as the original developers offer but at a fraction of the cost.

Unlimited Use: You can use our products on as many websites as you like (unlimited domains).

Regular Updates: We constantly add new products and update existing ones.

Licenses & Keys

Short Answer: No, we do not provide license keys.

We do not provide, lease, or sell license keys. All the products offered on this website are licensed under the GNU GPL License. You do not need any license keys to use them in as many of your projects as you need. Plugins and themes only require license keys to get automatic updates from the original author or to access their dedicated support.

Don't worry, this is normal. Developers include these prompts so that you can register for their support and automatic updates. The downloaded item will work perfectly fine without anything being entered in the box.

Solution: You can simply ignore these messages. The plugin functions are typically not restricted. If the message is annoying, there are "Disable Admin Notices" plugins available that can hide these banners for you.

Yes, absolutely. All digital products on our website are released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). This is the same license that WordPress itself uses. It grants us the right to redistribute the software legally.

Technical Support & Installation

We provide basic support for installing plugins and themes. However, since we offer products at a heavily discounted price, we cannot provide advanced technical support (like code customization or debugging conflict issues) that the original developer typically offers.

If you require deep technical assistance, we suggest purchasing the product directly from the original author or hiring a freelancer.

This is a very common mistake. It usually means you are trying to upload the "Whole Package" zip file which includes documentation, license files, and the theme itself.

Solution: Unzip the file you downloaded from us first. Inside, you will find the actual theme zip file (often named like theme-name.zip). That is the file you need to upload to WordPress.

Since we don't provide license keys for auto-updates, you need to update manually:

  1. Download the latest version from our website.
  2. Upload the new plugin/theme zip file to your WordPress.
  3. WordPress will ask if you want to replace the current version with the uploaded one. Click "Replace current with uploaded".

Don't worry, your settings and data are saved in the database and will not be lost during this process.

Refunds & Delivery

Due to the nature of digital media (software) that can be downloaded instantly, sales are generally final and non-refundable. There is no "trial" period.

However, we will grant a refund if:

  • The product was completely unusable or non-functional.
  • You have not downloaded the product yet.

We stand behind our products and will assist you in solving any problem you have first.

If you purchased a single product, you have lifetime access to the version you bought. If you have a Membership Plan, you have access to downloads as long as your subscription is active. Once your subscription expires, you can still use the products you already downloaded, but you won't be able to download new updates.
